Madison County, Indiana — Jerry Hugh Guffey, 53, is charged with murder in the death of John Collier, 78. Guffey claims to have “beheaded” Collier and stole his car because “he apparently viewed (Collier as) a romantic rival.” (Guffey’s wife filed for divorce last week.) This is just insane on numerous levels I won’t go into. Hopefully they’ll lock Mr. Guffey up for good this time (he has six previous convictions from what I saw listed).
